Manners Minder

This is one of the best tools for professional trainers. Many uses. Crate training, long down stay. Anytime you need to deliver a reinforcer at a distance.

I've used this to work on dogs afraid of people approaching cars, during agility, go to mat exercise, crate training, and fun tricks.

Here are some recommended books:

Lie to Me

Great book about emotions by the person the show Lie to me is based on.

Great book on setting up a dogs at work policy

Dogs in the workplace have been shown to have benefits for workers.. This book discusses how to establish policies for setting up effective policies. According to this article Supporters say pets in the workplace reduce stress among owners who worry about home-alone dogs, are a calming presence for even the non-owners and help employees form relationships. And in these times of disappearing benefits, pet-friendly policies are a free perk. Companies with such policies range from edgy Newport Beach, Calif., cosmetics company Urban Decay to Healthwise, the Boise-based non-profit health information provider. Most allow only dogs, but some, like Replacements, allow all kinds of pets.

Bill and Coo

This is a kids movie, but was made in the 1930s using only positive reinforcment training and acted entirely by birds. The video is low quality, but this shows what positive reinforcement can do AND how long it's been around.
