Russian Dog Wizard defines "Doglish" training method

Vladislav Roytapel is keen on being the next celebrity dog trainer.

"I broke the code of the dog language," he says, "and I named that language 'Doglish.'" There are three basic doglish trinercomponents to Doglish – a high-pitched voice that mimics a howl and signifies approval, an abrupt bark-like tone used for commands and a deep, growling intonation for discipline.

Vladae provides an example: "Let's say you have a stupid Lab that grabs a shoe." Don't whack the dog or yank the footwear away. Instead, gently retrieve the shoe and use your best howl-speak to say, "Good girrrllllllll!" or "Good boooyyyyy!"

Oh. Later in the article, he uses pinches to subdue dogs, just as wolves and adult dogs do.

This video shows what a day at 'Chicken Camp' is like. All the action is crammed into 6 minutes via time-lapse photography. The camp features Bob Bailey and was held at Legacy Canine in Sequim Washington, hosted by Bill and Terry Ryan. The video was produced by John Buginas, an instructor at the  SF/SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers.

John runs a shorter version of this class as part of the Animal Learning section of the Academy program he teaches.

Things that make you go "Hmmmmm."

According to Dream Dogs UK :

"It may sound a little absurd, but if your puppy is to be used as a stud dog then it is important to ‘teach’ him how to be a good stud dog from an early age and to start from as early as three or four months old or as soon as possible."
